Kogane Ochiba Shigure Nisai Koi (25–35 cm)

We are pleased to offer a select group of Kogane Ochiba Shigure Nisai Koi, imported from Japan in January 2025. These koi are now in their second year (Nisai) and measure approximately 25–35 cm, making them an excellent size for observing their developing patterns and strong growth potential.

The Kogane Ochiba Shigure is a metallic variation of the classic Ochiba, combining the earthy, autumn-leaf colors of Ochiba Shigure with the lustrous finish of Hikari (metallic) koi. Their base color typically ranges from a soft silver or pale bronze, overlaid with warm copper, brown, or golden markings—evoking the image of fallen leaves glimmering on water.

This rare and elegant variety is highly prized for its subtle beauty and reflective sheen. The metallic quality enhances the natural contrast of the pattern, creating a koi that is both serene and visually striking. Kogane Ochiba often display calm temperaments and are known to grow well and interact peacefully with other koi—making them a beautiful and balanced addition to any pond.
