The Red Rainbowfish is a stunning freshwater species from Lake Sentani, Papua, renowned for its intense red coloration and active schooling behavior. Males develop deep crimson hues as they mature, making this species a spectacular centerpiece for large planted aquariums.

Bright lighting enhances their coloration, especially in mature males.
Red Rainbowfish are omnivorous and enthusiastic feeders:
High-quality flakes or pellets
Frozen foods (brine shrimp, bloodworms, daphnia)
Occasional vegetable-based foods or spirulina
Feed 1–2 times daily with varied foods to support coloration and health.
Red Rainbowfish are peaceful, active, and social, best kept in groups of 6 or more (with a higher ratio of females to males).
